Job summary

NRL in Bolton is seeking an experienced Production Programmer to join a respected manufacturing business. You'll work on-site on the shop floor, programming CAD/CAM systems and converting CAD drawings to manufacturing files. The role emphasizes precision, safety and quality in producing high-quality engineered parts.

The position is 4 days per week, 37 hours, with early start times. You'll interact with a collaborative team, support process improvements, and contribute to production

Qualifications

• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience with operating and programming a press brake.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Proficient computer literacy.
• Experience in a metal fabrication or parts manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Programme CAD/CAM systems and convert 2D/3D drawings for manufacturing use.
• Perform remote programming for press brake and laser cutting machines.
• Upload data to the MRP system to maintain production flow and schedules.
• Support process improvement and continuous improvement activities.
• Assist with design-for-manufacture to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Identify and recommend tools, jigs and fixtures to boost productivity and safety.
• Contribute to capital expenditure documentation and project planning.
• Meet departmental KPIs and deadlines with accuracy and quality.
