Job summary

Omnia Inclusive Employment Solutions Ltd in Bolton is seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer to join a busy Production Engineering team. You will prepare CAD/CAM data for manufacture, and program press brake and laser cutting equipment to keep schedules running smoothly.

You will work with 2D/3D drawings, upload production information to the MRP system, and support design for manufacture by spotting potential production issues and improvements. The role offers up to £35k and 25 days leave.

Qualifications

Experience with CAD/CAM data preparation for manufacture.
Background in metal fabrication or parts manufacturing.
Ability to convert engineering designs into production-ready programmes.

Responsibilities

Produce CAD/CAM programmes, working with 2D and 3D drawings and converting STP files into production-ready DXF files.
Remotely programme press brake and laser cutting machinery to support component manufacture against project schedules
Upload and maintain accurate production information within the MRP system, ensuring data is available when required by manufacturing
Support Design for Manufacture activities, identifying potential production issues and opportunities to improve quality, safety and productivity
Identify tooling, jigs, fixtures, equipment and other manufacturing requirements while contributing to process optimisation and continuous improvement
