Job summary

Baker and Baker Recruitment Limited in Bolton, Greater Manchester, seeks a Production Programmer. You will CAD/CAM programme pressed and lasered parts, converting STP to DXF for manufacturing and remotely programming press brakes and laser cutting resources.

You will upload data into the MRP system to keep processes on track, working within the Production Engineering team to meet departmental standards and objectives. The role is shop floor based with an office on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading 2D/3D CAD drawings and converting STP to DXF for manufacturing.
• Experience with press brake operating and laser cutting environments.
• Computer literacy and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities; problem-solving skills.
• Training/experience in metal fabrication and parts manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• CAD/CAM programming for pressed and lasered parts; convert STP to DXF for production use.
• Remote programming for press brakes and laser machines per project schedule.
• Upload accurate data into the MRP system to support production flow.
• Contribute to manufacturing process improvements and safety standards.
• Identify tools and equipment requirements to improve safety, quality and productivity.
