Job summary

NOV's Plymouth site is seeking a CAD/CAM Apprentice to join the CAD Team within Advanced Design and Manufacturing (ADAM) Engineering Services. You'll support the creation of 3D models, engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation while working alongside experienced CAD Engineers.

Through structured training, mentoring and practical experience, you'll develop the technical knowledge and confidence to progress your career within NOV, gaining exposure to diverse projects and opportunities

Qualifications

GCSEs in English, Mathematics and Science.
Genuine interest in engineering, design or manufacturing.
Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.

Responsibilities

Produce 3D CAD models and engineering drawings with guidance from experienced CAD Engineers.
Prepare fabrication drawings and manufacturing documentation for projects.
Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) from CAD models and drawings.
Apply NOV drafting standards, SOIs and BMS requirements.
Support engineering projects while learning NOV products and processes.
Collaborate with CAD, Engineering and Project teams to aid project delivery.
Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain engineering documentation.
Keep accurate records of work and training activities.
Adhere to NOV's Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
