Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Technician responsible for designing, developing, and reviewing the cable routing network of the project, ensuring compliance with UK cabling rules and nuclear regulations. The technician will produce routing deliverables and conduct studies in specified buildings of the nuclear island using in-house routing software. Key responsibilities include:

1. Providing routing reports that ensure data integrity and meet project requirements, including lifetime margins, safety functions, and electrical segregation.
2. Collaborating with the layout team to assess tray filling rates and address routing queries, ensuring quality and compliance in 3D models and civil work electrical openings.
3. Assessing feasibility for design changes or open points affecting routing activities.
4. Performing risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies for critical modifications.
5. Providing feedback on routing software performance and participating in beta testing.
6. Communicating progress during weekly follow-ups with routing, layout, and management teams.
7. Training team members on cable routing software, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of RCC-E electrical regulations and technical standards (NFC15-100, NFC 13-200, BS7671, IEC 60909).
• Experience or education in the nuclear field.
• Understanding of quality processes in nuclear industrial projects.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as PDMS/E3D, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
