Job summary

RSK Group in Wigan, UK is seeking a Cable Lead Driller for a full-time, permanent role. The position involves UK-wide travel, with nights away and potential weekend work. You will operate cable drilling rigs, conduct site investigations, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires CSCS and NVQ Level 2 (Lead Driller), a full UK driving licence, and flexibility to travel. Competitive pay commensurate with experience and a contributory pension are provided.

Qualifications

• CSCS and NVQ Level 2 (Lead Driller) required.
• Flexible approach to working environment during investigations and shifts, including weekends.
• Willingness to work away from home including overnight stays.
• Must have a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate a cable drilling rig for site investigation boreholes and submit logs.
• Follow project specifications, including in-situ testing, sampling and installations.
• Maintain health, safety, environment and quality standards.
• Comply with company policies and regulations.
• Supervise drilling assistants and train juniors.
• Inspect, maintain and report on drilling rigs and vehicles.
• Submit daily records for SHEQ purposes.
• Be adaptable to changing job needs as directed by management.
