Cable Percussion Lead Driller

Avonmouth, Bristol

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cable percussion lead driller to join a supportive and experienced team that focuses on quality and health & safety. Our team operates across the UK, from inner‑city to countryside locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise cable percussion drilling operations on site
• Set up, operate, and dismantle cable percussion rigs
• Ensure boreholes are drilled to required depth and specification
• Oversee casing installation, sample recovery, and in-situ testing
• Ensure accurate record keeping
• Complete daily drilling reports and site documentation
• Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company RAMS
• Carry out routine maintenance and fault diagnosis on drilling equipment
• Liaise with site managers, engineers, and clients
• Supervise and mentor assistant drillers and trainees
• Maintain site housekeeping standards

Experience / Qualifications Required

• CSCS card and NVQ Level 2 (Lead Driller) required
• BDA accreditation preferred
• Full driving licence essential
• Flexibility to work in varying locations around the UK
