Interaction Recruitment is hiring for an HGV C1 Trunk Driver in Huntingdon. The role involves safe, timely deliveries and excellent customer service with weekday hours only.

The position offers a permanent contract with a salary of £45,427 per year. Applicants must hold a UK Class 1 licence, CPC card and have experience with tachographs and PDA devices, and be 21 or over for insurance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday (no weekends)

About the role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced C1 Trunk Driversto join our team. This role involves the safe and timely delivery of goods while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a HGV C1 vehicle in compliance with all road and safety regulations
• Trunk and delivery of stock to distribution sites
• Load and unload goods where required
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Ensure accurate completion of delivery paperwork
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers

Requirements

• You must have a UK driving Class 1 licence along with a valid driver’s CPC DQ card / valid drivers digital card
• Previous commercial driving experience in a class 1 vehicle
• Previous experience and understanding of using digital tachographs
• Good people skills and some previous experience in a customer facing role
• Understanding of EU Driving legislation and tachograph law
• Desirable experience of using a PDA
• Please note that for insurance purposes you should be aged 21 years or over.
