Job summary

EMW, Inc. is seeking an MPS Technician at Yeovilton, UK, for a 320-hour, on-site contract. You will manage VMware vCenter/ESXi servers, Windows AD/DNS/DHCP, and support server hardware, storage, and backups while assisting 3rd level engineers.

The role requires active NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET clearance, extensive Windows Server admin experience, and strong IT service desk support. Start 7 Dec 2026; end 31 Dec 2026; 38-hour week with negotiable times.

Qualifications

• Active NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET clearance.
• Vocational training at middle level in a relevant discipline, or Diploma of secondary education in IT System Administration with 5 years of experience.
• Extensive Windows Server Administration experience.
• Intermediate Network maintenance and configuration experience.
• Advanced Workstation System Administration experience.
• Significant IT Service Desk Support experience.
• Experience working on multiple IT systems simultaneously in a fast moving dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple VMware vCenter and ESXi servers.

• Maintain Infodas SGWX diode and GPS time server.
• Install and maintain server and client software applications.
• Maintain TEPA and its database."

• Loading Keymat to TCE621M devices.
• Escort and assist 3rd level engineers and assist with testing and verification of new systems.
• Assist with VEEAM backups and support to local ServiceDesk.
• Maintain documentation on assigned systems and provide VDI and thin client support.

Duties & Role:

Under the direction of CSE Yeovilton Head the incumbent will perform duties such as the following:

• Manage multiple VMware vCenter & ESXi servers
• Manage Windows Servers, AD, DNS, DHCP
• Basic maintenance of Switches and Firewalls
• Maintain Infodas SGWX diode
• Maintain GPS Time Server
• Install and maintain multiple server and client software applications
• Maintain Bespoke Server application TEPA and its database
• Maintain Softtros LanManager messaging
• Renewing certificates
• Managing VIASAT encrypted drives
• Loading Keymat to TCE621M devices
• Escorting and assisting 3rd level engineers
• Assist with testing and verification of new systems
• Assist with VEEAM Backup
• Supporting local ServiceDesk
• Maintaining documentation on assigned systems
• Support to VDI maintenance, and thin clients
• Print server support.
• Assist with EPO DLP
• Install Sharepoint and SQL server patches.
• Performs other duties as may be required.

Specific Working Conditions: The site is small and you will work with 4 other IT staff. Usual working hours: 0830 - 1700hrs Mon - Thurs; 0830 -1500hrs Fri with 30 minute lunchbreak (negotiable). 38hr working week with some flexibility on start and finish times.

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

• The candidate must have a currently active NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET security clearance
• Vocational training at middle level in a relevant discipline, or equivalent, or Diploma of secondary education in IT System Administration with 5 years of experience.
• Extensive Windows Server Administration experience
• Intermediate Network maintenance and configuration experience
• Advanced Workstation System Administration experience
• Significant IT Service Desk Support experience
