Job summary

Driver Hire Halifax is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 drivers for various shift patterns in the Bradford/ Halifax area. You'll trunk runs, RDC deliveries, trailer swaps and general haulage work across routes, with flexibility to match business needs.

Newly passed drivers are welcome; however, preference for drivers with 2 years' experience. You must hold a valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC and Tachograph card, and demonstrate strong timekeeping and communication.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Newly passed drivers accepted.
• 2 years' Class 1 experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks.
• Strong timekeeping and communication skills.
• Flexible approach to shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Complete deliveries and collections on time.
• Ensure accurate paperwork and transport documentation.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain professional standards at all times.
• Follow all driver hours and working time regulations.

Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour (PAYE)

About the Role

We are seeking reliable and professional HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers for a leading haulage, distribution, and logistics operation based in Bradford and Halifax. Drivers will be completing trunk runs, RDC deliveries, trailer swaps, and general haulage work depending on the route and shift pattern.

Newly passed Class 1 drivers are welcome to apply, although preference will be given to drivers with 2 years' experience.
