Job summary

Daventry Metal Products Ltd. is seeking a Press Brake Operator in Daventry to set up and run Bystronic press brakes, producing precision components to tight tolerances. You will read 2D drawings, follow production schedules, and work within a busy sheet metal department.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating press brake machinery.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and bend allowances.
• Methodical, dependable and quality‑conscious with eye for detail.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Desirable: experience on Bystronic 80–150t, sheet metal rolling or laser cutting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 80-150-tonne Bystronic press brake machines.
• Produce sheet metal components to tight tolerances per 2D drawings and schedules.
• Carry out general metalworking, rolling and bending operations.
• Liaise with Cell Leader and production colleagues to meet deadlines and KPIs.
• Collaborate across the sheet metal department and assist with wider equipment (e.g., CNC laser cutters).
• Maintain high workmanship standards, minimise scrap, and keep a safe, organised workplace.
