A leading company in pet care is seeking a Buying Assistant to join their Trading Team. This hybrid role involves supporting the Buying Team with administrative tasks, managing promotional processes, and liaising with suppliers. Ideal candidates will have strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Opportunities for self-development and stakeholder management are available.
We’re currently looking for a Buying Assistant to work within our Trading Team based at our Support Office in Handforth (Cheshire).
This is a hybrid role, working 2-3 days per week in the office.
About the Role
As a Buying Assistant, you will support the wider Buying Team with high volumes of administration such as setting up new lines on our database and accurately loading promotions. You should be detail orientated, highly organised, and work well with deadlines. You will also be liaising with the wider business including our Data and Tech teams.
This is a great role if you’re looking to take a step in to the world of Buying, however, it’s equally a great role if you love administration too.

About You
This is a busy administrator role, so a passion for administration is essential. You should be used to working in a busy office environment. Microsoft Packages are used daily especially Excel and so you should be comfortable using these packages. SAP is also used frequently. Whilst it would be advantageous for you to have worked with SAP previously, it’s not essential.
This is a critical role within the Buying team, and you must have a high attention to detail. Working with various teams across the business you should have strong verbal and written communication skills.
