Due to investment in the pharmacy team, we are excited to offer the position of Senior Pharmacy Assistant – Procurement and Goods In. This role involves supporting the pharmacy procurement team to achieve best value for medicines and supervising day-to-day team operations. It is primarily desk/admin-based, with occasional warehouse support. No prior experience is necessary; full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

Under supervision of the Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will contribute to the Pharmacy Procurement and Goods In team, focusing on ensuring best value procurement, system setup for pre-negotiated prices, and working with suppliers on off-contract purchase claims.

Supervise and guide the Pharmacy Assistant Team in Procurement and Goods In, ensuring tasks such as updating contracts, stock control, managing medicines, and document retention are completed accurately and timely.

  • 4 GCSEs (Grade C or above), including Maths and English
  • ILM Level 3 or supervisory/management certificate
