Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Procurement / Purchasing professional in a Manufacturing or Engineering environment. This role offers the chance to join a world-class manufacturing facility with offices in the UK and USA, operating for over 40 years.

As a Buyer, you will lead a small team, setting procurement processes for materials and components essential for manufacturing operations. You should have solid buying experience, with ideas to improve procurement strategies, and skills in negotiating with suppliers to minimize delays and quality issues while maximizing value.

The salary is up to £38,000, complemented by benefits such as 24 days' holiday plus bank holidays, healthcare, pension, life assurance, sick pay, and enhanced maternity/paternity leave. This is a hybrid role, combining office work near Middlesbrough and remote working, with additional days off for your birthday and Christmas Eve.

Preferred candidates will be CIPS Level 4 qualified and have a proven track record in supplier performance management, cost savings, and quality improvements.
