Job description

Job Title: Procurement and Supply Chain Coordinator

Job Summary

Responsible for order processing, scheduling, and management of supplier delivery performance in line with MPS and business requirements.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Ensure delivery aligns with operational performance requirements from suppliers across a spend scope of approximately £10m.
  2. Manage supplier scheduling according to MPS and maintain accurate supplier and procurement data within the MRP system to minimize shortages and excess inventory.
  3. Maintain and update supplier promise dates daily to ensure accurate scheduling information.
  4. Support the Procurement Operations Manager or Site Procurement Manager in delivering the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, particularly external supply reviews.
  5. Manage supplier relationships, ensuring they can meet order commitments, identifying supply risks, constraints, and bottlenecks, and escalating issues as needed.
  6. Conduct external capacity reviews aligned with MPS.
  7. Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance.
  8. Maintain daily communication with internal customers and receiving areas.
  9. Adhere to standard procurement processes and daily management tasks.
  10. Own and manage the supplier scorecard process, ensuring performance is communicated and reviewed regularly in multifunctional team meetings.
  11. Assist SQE with supplier non-conformance issues, returns, and claims processing.
  12. Ensure prompt payment of suppliers by resolving invoice queries.
  13. Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications
  1. Degree qualification or 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management or Procurement roles.
  2. Proficiency in IT, especially Excel.
  3. A degree in Business Administration is desirable.
