Join Johnson Matthey as a Buyer in the Corporate Indirect Procurement team, where you will play a vital role in sourcing professional services. As a Buyer in our Corporate Indirect Procurement team, you'll play a key role in how we source professional and operational services—ensuring value, compliance, and strategic alignment across our business. This is a 4 day on-site role at our London Hub location, ideal for someone with a strong background in professional services and proven experience in the procurement of services such as Consultancy, HR, Legal, IP and Marketing.
As a Buyer, you will help drive our goals by:
Lead sourcing and contract management for a wide range of indirect service categories, not goods or supply chain.
Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver value through smart procurement strategies.
Build and manage supplier relationships, driving performance, compliance, and risk mitigation.
Negotiate contracts with a focus on commercial value and long-term partnership.
Analyze spend, trends, and data to support cost-saving initiatives and strategic planning.
Use Coupa and other procurement tools to manage sourcing workflows and ensure process efficiency.
Support continuous improvement in procurement practices aligned with global category strategies.
Minimum 3 years of strong, hands-on experience in Indirect services procurement, preferably professional services; HR, legal, IP, and marketing.
Experience working in a complex global corporate environment.
Strong negotiation and commercial skills with proven success managing supplier contracts, rebates, rate cards, discounts.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across functions and seniority levels.
Analytical mindset and comfort working with data to drive decisions and improvements.
