Job summary

Gray Dawes Travel is recruiting an experienced Business Travel Consultant based at our Colchester office, with a potential hybrid pattern after initial training. You will handle complex itineraries, manage reservations and travel documentation, and provide visa guidance to clients.

Ideal candidates have Sabre GDS experience, an excellent telephone manner, and a keen eye for detail. You’ll join a growing global travel management company that values service and efficiency.

• Confident in direct client communication.
• Willing to work 8am–6pm on a rota.

Our people are at the heart of our business and we're recruiting for an experienced Business Travel Consultant. This role will ideally be based at our Colchester office preferably either on a hybrid working pattern (3 days in the office and 2 days at home) after an initial two week full time training period but we are open to discussion dependent on location to the office. This is an exciting time to join us as we're rapidly expanding our operations team.

What You'll Do

Providing high levels of customer service, you'll:

• Handle enquiries and reservations ensuring that they are responded to professionally, arranging and confirming bookings and building traveller's profiles to make sure that their needs are met.
• Carry out research for our clients to make sure they get the best deal.
• Process E tickets and travel documentation.
• Offer advice and guidance on available options to our clients for each itinerary including advice on visas, passport requirements and vaccinations.
• Handle refunds and cancellations.

What we're looking for

• You'll be a motivated, passionate individual who has previous experience of working in business travel.
• Experience using Sabre GDS although Galileo experience would be considered.
• You'll have an excellent telephone manner, excellent verbal reasoning skills and great attention to detail.
• Confident in dealing directly with our client on a face to face basis.
• You'll be happy to work between the hours of 8am and 6pm on a rota basis.
