Job summary

Gray Dawes Travel in Manchester is seeking an experienced Business Travel Consultant to join our expanding team on a hybrid pattern (3 days in the office, 2 days at home after training). You will manage enquiries, bookings and traveller profiles to deliver a tailored service.

You should have prior business travel experience, knowledge of Sabre GDS (Galileo also considered), a strong telephone manner, sharp reasoning and meticulous attention to detail. You’ll work on a rota between 8am and 6pm.

Qualifications

Experience in business travel is essential.
Strong telephone manner and attention to detail required.
Ability to work with clients face-to-face and on a rota.

Responsibilities

Handle enquiries and reservations professionally, booking and confirming travel.
Research best deals for clients and build traveller profiles.
Process e-tickets and travel documents as needed.
Advise on options, visas, passport requirements and vaccinations.
Handle refunds and cancellations.

Our people are at the heart of our business and we’re recruiting for an experienced Business Travel Consultant. This role will ideally be based at our Manchester office preferably on a hybrid working pattern (3 days in the office and 2 days at home) after an initial training period. This is an exciting time to join us as we’re rapidly expanding our operations team.

What You’ll Do

Handle enquiries and reservations ensuring that they are responded to professionally, arranging and confirming bookings and building traveller’s profiles to make sure that their needs are met.
Carry out research for our clients to make sure they get the best deal.
Process E tickets and travel documentation.
Offer advice and guidance on available options to our clients for each itinerary including advice on visas, passport requirements and vaccinations.
Handle refunds and cancellations.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a motivated, passionate individual who has previous experience of working in business travel.
Experience using Sabre GDS although Galileo experience would be considered.
You’ll have an excellent telephone manner, excellent verbal reasoning skills and great attention to detail.
Confident in dealing directly with our client on a face to face basis.
You’ll be happy to work between the hours of 8am and 6pm on a rota basis.
