Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and passionate Business Studies Teacher to join a fantastic secondary school in the Sefton area. The role is temporary, long term and full-time, with start date as soon as possible, and hours 8:00am to 4:00pm. You will need QTS and a degree in Business or related.

You will plan and deliver lessons on business concepts, assess progress, and support pupils. The successful candidate will have UK secondary teaching experience and be willing to undergo

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Business or related.
• Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided).
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
• Ability to provide two professional references.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons on business concepts such as finance, marketing, management, and economics.
• Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
• Prepare students for exams, coursework, and real-world applications.
• Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving through case studies and projects.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and support those who need additional help.
