Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Business Studies Teacher to join a fantastic secondary school in the Sefton area. This temporary, long-term role is full-time with hours 8:00am - 4:00pm and start date as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will hold QTS with a Business degree, have UK classroom experience, and be able to contribute to a vibrant school team. Safeguarding training is desirable, and two references are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Business or related field.
• Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training (desirable).
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for a new one.
• Ability to provide two professional references.

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons on business concepts such as finance, marketing, management, and economics.
• Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
• Prepare students for exams, coursework, and real-world applications.
• Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving through case studies and projects.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and support those who need additional help.

Secondary Business Teacher

Location: Sefton

Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract Type: Temporary, Long Term

Working Hours: Full time, 8:00am - 4.00pm

Pay: Paid to scale

Requirements:

• Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
