Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Business Studies Teacher to join a fantastic secondary school in the Liverpool area. The role is temporary, long term, and full-time, with working hours 8:00am–4:00pm. Start date is October 2026 in Liverpool.

The successful candidate will hold QTS and a degree in Business or related, with proven UK secondary teaching experience and good safeguarding credentials. Right to Work in the UK and two references required.

Qualifications

• QTS and degree in Business or related.
• Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
• Safeguarding training is desirable; training can be provided.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain a new certificate.
• Ability to provide two professional references.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons on business concepts such as finance, marketing, management and economics.
• Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
• Prepare students for exams, coursework and real‑world applications.
• Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving through case studies and projects.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback and support those who need additional help.

Contract Type: Temporary, Long Term

• Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
• Ability to provide two professional references.
