Join to apply for the Business Support Team Leader role at London Borough of Lambeth.

We are seeking a confident and dynamic individual to join our team as a Business Support Team Leader in Children's Social Care. This is a secondment or fixed-term opportunity for 9 months, supporting maternity cover. The role is full-time with hybrid working arrangements.

Job Details:
  • Salary: PO1: £41,964 rising to £44,430 per annum, inclusive of LW
  • Location: Lambeth Town Hall and Civic Centre, London
  • Employment type: Full-time, Hybrid working
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Business Support Officers, ensuring effective coordination of administrative functions supporting social care services
  • Oversee work allocation, monitor performance, and ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports and records
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify and implement service improvements
  • Manage workloads, coach team members, handle complex queries, review KPIs, and promote process innovation
Candidate Profile:
  • Experienced people manager with a successful track record in team leadership
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to manage priorities under pressure, and analyze data for performance insights
  • Strong relationship-building skills, high standards of confidentiality, and a proactive approach to development
  • Ability to lead through change and champion equality and inclusion
