We are seeking a confident and dynamic individual to join our team as a Business Support Team Leader. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for driving excellence in a fast-paced, operational environment supporting frontline children’s services.
The Role:
You will lead a team of Business Support Officers, ensuring effective coordination of administrative functions that underpin essential social care work. You’ll provide leadership to maintain high performance and seamless delivery of services.
You’ll oversee work allocation, track performance, and be accountable for ensuring reports, systems, and records are accurate, timely, and aligned with policy and statutory requirements.
Working with senior management, you will help identify improvement areas and implement better ways of working while promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous service improvement.
You will manage key tasks such as:
• Planning and distributing workloads fairly and efficiently
• Leading and coaching team members to meet individual and team goals
• Managing complex queries and complaints with professionalism
• Monitoring and reviewing KPIs and performance targets
• Driving innovation in business processes and systems
About You:
You’ll be an experienced people manager with a track record of successfully leading teams. Your ability to manage resources, streamline processes, and embed a culture of customer-first service is key to this role.
You must also demonstrate the ability to:
• Communicate confidently and clearly, both in writing and verbally
• Manage priorities under pressure and deliver consistent results
• Analyse data and use insights to guide performance and planning
• Build strong working relationships with colleagues and partners
• Maintain high standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance
• Promote a proactive approach to continuous development
• Lead through change and support others through transitions
• Champion equality, inclusion, and positive work culture
