Job Description:

A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Bolton, dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for students, is seeking a dedicated and organised School Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth running of the school, supporting both staff and students.

Location: Bolton, BL1

Hours: Part-Time, Monday–Thursday

Start date: ASAP

Contract Type: Long-term ongoing temporary

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
  1. Reception duties including meeting and greeting visitors, dealing with telephone queries, recording and forwarding of messages.
  2. Arrange booking of facilities for a range of events, ensuring equipment and refreshments are provided appropriately.
  3. Provide administrative support to the organisation and arrangement of trips and school events.
  4. Provide a responsive and effective reprographics service for the school.
  5. Undertake minuting of meetings as required by the school.
  6. Access emails and website; updating the school portal and Virtual Learning Environment as required.
  7. Sort and distribute mail and correspondence to and from staff in a timely manner.
  8. Utilise administrative equipment such as the franking machine, photocopier and laminator as required.
  9. Maintain manual and computerised records using Management Information Systems if required.
Key Skills/Experience:
  1. Experience working within a school office environment
  2. Experience using school management information systems, Bro would be ideal
  3. Strong administrative skills
  4. Excellent telephone manner
  5. Experience of managing busy switchboards
  6. Excellent organisational and time management skills
  7. Strong knowledge of child safeguarding procedures
