Business Support Officer
Location: Near King's Cross, London (office-based)
Salary: Up to £40,000 dependent on experience
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: Monday-Friday
About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Business Support Officer to join our London headquarters to provide comprehensive support to our team and ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in general administration, managing office supplies, handling expenses, and supporting the overall functioning of the office environment.

Key Responsibilities
- General Administration: Provide general administrative support to the team, including managing travel arrangements and coordinating internal communications.
- Expense Management: Process and track team expenses, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with company procedures.
- Office Supplies & Organisation: Manage office supplies by conducting regular stock checks, ordering new supplies, and ensuring timely deliveries to maintain office efficiency.
- Facilities Management: Daily oversight of the office facilities, ensuring everything is well-maintained and addressing issues promptly.
- Health, Safety & Security: Opportunity to take ownership of or develop working knowledge of Health & Safety policy and relevant laws, risk assessments, and security procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members and visitors.
- IT Administration: Ensure all software and hardware is fully operational for the team. Liaise with tech support when necessary to resolve issues.
- Stakeholder relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and coordination across teams.
- Meeting & Event Coordination: Manage booked meetings and conference schedules, coordinate room bookings, ensure the setup of conference call details, and assist with catering and restaurant reservations when needed.
- Administrative Coverage: Provide cover for other team administrators during times of absence, ensuring continuity of administrative support for the team.
- Project Support: There will be opportunities to be an active and crucial part of specific projects or initiatives, in addition to day-to-day responsibilities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a business support role is preferred, particularly within a team environment.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general office technology.
- Role-related qualifications and previous experience or knowledge of Health & Safety would be a significant benefit.
- Project Management experience would be advantageous—someone who demonstrates project management skills, including planning, executing, and adjusting based on changing priorities or new information, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet expected standards.
- Outstanding communication skills with an enthusiastic, warm, and confident approach—ensuring fast and seamless communication and scheduling for stakeholders to uphold smooth team operations.
