Job Title: Business Support Officer

We are looking for a creative and dynamic Business Support Officer to join the office of the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner and support our vision: "Working with partners and the public to deliver safer, stronger communities in West Mercia".

The core role of the PCC’s office is to ensure the voice of the public is reflected in policing. The PCC also allocates millions of pounds to community projects, victim services, crime prevention measures, and ensures the police force has the necessary funding to deliver an efficient and effective service for the public.

The PCC needs someone passionate about ensuring the public voice is heard and used to improve policing. The ideal candidate will be creative, possess strong written skills, be able to identify risks and opportunities, and have innovative ideas for engaging with communities.

If successful, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing and delivering communications across various platforms to support the PCC and the estate.
  2. Producing and managing campaigns.
  3. Creating videos and podcasts.
  4. Providing advice and support to the PCC.
  5. Carrying out public engagements.

You will be supported and encouraged to work independently and help shape the focus of your work.

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days in the office.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday, 30th May 2025.
