This role supports UKHSA Public Health Microbiology (PHM), including the Clinical Laboratory Network and PHM Reference services. UKHSA Public Health Laboratories operate a managed network across the country, delivering microbiology diagnostic services, surveillance, and outbreak control. The network includes sites in Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Manchester, and collaborating centres in Brighton, Newcastle, Leeds, and Southampton, as well as environmental labs in London, Porton, and York.

The post holder will provide business support under the line management of the Senior Business Manager, supporting operations within UKHSA Public Health Microbiology Services. This role does not include line management responsibilities but involves working alongside other support staff under the leadership of the Head of Business Operations.
Essential Criteria:
Assessment via application form and a 1000-word statement of suitability, followed by a remote interview.
Open to all external applicants. Hybrid working at core offices in Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, or London with at least 60% of hours onsite.
