Job description

Business Support is key to the success of our Children's Services because our Business Support teams are there, making sure things run smoothly, so that our frontline colleagues can deliver for children and their families in the community. All that work in the background just doesn't happen; it takes dedicated colleagues, taking pride in their work and seeing a purpose in the work they are doing.

This is a full-time permanent post based at the Old House, Eastern Avenue, Lichfield. We are an administration team of 18 who are predominantly office based, although home working is arranged on a rota basis depending on the demands of the service.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Being a first point of contact for practitioners to ensure children, families, partners, and stakeholders receive a professional and knowledgeable response to enquiries in a timely manner.
  2. Providing support, advice, and guidance to practitioners in the use of IT and related software, including basic induction into systems and processes.
  3. Providing core business functions and working closely with Practitioner Leads, Team Managers, Family Practitioners, Professionals, and Partners.
  4. Utilising full knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and main applications.
  5. Demonstrating flexibility and teamwork, transferring between teams as required. Full training will be provided.
The Ideal Candidate
  1. Teamwork, good organisational skills, and competency in IT systems are essential.
  2. Level II in Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
  3. An IT qualification equivalent to ECDL or similar.
  4. Good communication skills for interaction via phone, in person, and email.
  5. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work to deadlines.
  6. A flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  7. A passion for providing excellent service.

Shortlisting will occur on Tuesday 20th May 2025, with interviews scheduled for Friday 30th May 2025.
