Job summary
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our Community Health Occupational Therapy Team as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
You will work as part of our team of experienced Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants to assess and treat adults with a range of conditions within their own homes.
The wider South Occupational Therapy Team will support the post holder. The post holder will work under the direction and supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist and be expected to work under their own initiative to manage a non-complex caseload of community patients appropriate to the role. Main duties of the jobAs a Band 4 OTAP under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist you will be expected to work on your own and as part of a team focusing on excellent quality patient care including formulating treatment goals and identifying rehabilitation plans. You will be required to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, show initiative and team spirit as well as be committed to patient care. You will be flexible and able to work in a variety of locations in South Staffordshire. An understanding of assessment and rehabilitation appropriate to the role is essential as are good IT skills, knowledge and understanding of criteria for equipment provision. Applicants should have relevant Level 3 (or above) qualification in health care, or education.
