The City of York Council's Corporate Business Support Service is offering exciting opportunities to join the team.
The roles will primarily support Children’s Services and may work across a range of teams, including MASH, Child Protection, Corporate Parenting, Education and other services supporting children, young people and families.
The successful candidates will provide essential administrative support, working closely with internal colleagues, partner agencies and a range of stakeholders.
The roles involve a varied range of business support tasks, including the preparation of documentation, data input, arranging meetings, taking accurate minutes, handling telephone enquiries, processing purchase orders and invoices, and responding to requests from colleagues, partner agencies and members of the public.
Please note that these roles support Children’s Services and involve handling highly confidential and sensitive information relating to vulnerable children, young people and families, including child protection and safeguarding matters. Candidates should consider the nature of this work before applying.
The roles are hybrid; however, regular attendance at Council offices is an ongoing requirement of the roles. This will include increased office-based working during the induction and training period.
This role is suitable as a job share opportunity.
Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
The duties of this post require the postholder to undertake a basic Criminal Record check (unspent convictions only) via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
The Council is committed to investing in the talent and wellbeing of our staff and can offer a generous annual leave allowance, access to the Local Government Pension Scheme, comprehensive Health & Wellbeing initiatives and a reward package which recognises your contribution.
