We are seeking a committed and organised Business Support Assistant to join our Operations Service. This customer-centric role is integral to ensuring our teams and services are well supported, helping us deliver efficient, responsive, and value-for-money services to our residents and stakeholders.

About The Role

The Business Support Assistant provides essential administrative, clerical, and financial support to the Operations Service, ensuring the smooth running of processes and effective support for both internal and external customers.

The post holder will assist Service Managers, Team Leaders, and the Business Support Team in maintaining high standards of service and compliance with financial and customer procedures.

Key responsibilities include handling enquiries, producing reports, managing financial processes, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting the performance and development of the wider team.

Experience in financial administration, customer service and office systems is essential, along with a commitment to confidentiality, equality, and continuous improvement. High personal standards, attention to detail, and a readiness to learn new systems and adapt to change will ensure you thrive in this rewarding role.

An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. HDC does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over sponsorship for any role.

Closing date is 9am 19 October 2026 and interviews will be held the week commencing 26 October 2026.

We recognise that some candidates may choose to use AI tools to support their application. While we welcome the use of technology to help present your experience and achievements, we ask that the content of your application remains an accurate reflection of your own skills, knowledge and experience. In particular, we encourage candidates to demonstrate how they meet the criteria for the role by providing specific examples from their own experience. This helps us to better assess your suitability for the position.

For many of our roles, our hybrid work model enables employees to work remotely while allowing for in-office collaboration opportunities across the district, with an expectation of being in the office at least two days a week. However, please note that some positions may require a more consistent presence in the office due to the nature of the work.
