Job summary

Ivy Resource Group are partnering with a Stroud secondary school to recruit a dedicated Business Studies Teacher for a temporary, ASAP start. The role covers Key Stages 4 and 5 with full teaching responsibilities and ongoing assessment duties.

You will plan differentiated lessons, monitor progress, prepare students for exams, and support departmental and safeguarding policies within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level.

Business Studies Teacher

Location: Stroud

Temporary, ASAP

We are working with a secondary school in Stroud seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Business Studies Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time position teaching Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5, with full teaching responsibilities expected throughout the assignment. The school is looking for a teacher who can make business concepts relevant and engaging, helping students develop both their academic understanding and their awareness of the wider commercial world. The successful candidate will join a supportive department and have the opportunity to make a significant impact during an important period of the academic year. Based on the school's ongoing needs, there is potential for the role to continue beyond Christmas and through to the end of the Spring Term.

The Role

• Teach Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5.
• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and differentiated lessons.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations.
• Maintain accurate records of attainment, progress, and attendance.
• Identify students requiring additional support and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and share teaching resources and best practice.
• Contribute to departmental meetings and school events as required.
• Support the school's behaviour, safeguarding, and pastoral policies.
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and achievement.
