An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business Services Team for committed and flexible individuals to provide efficient and effective administrative support. We have a centralised support function to deliver efficient, consistent processes and collaborative working across the council.
You will be joining a friendly team of experienced Business Services Assistants. This is a fast-paced, varied role where you’ll need strong organisational skills, adaptability, and the ability to meet deadlines in a changing environment. If you’re a team player with a can-do attitude and enjoy finding solutions, we’d like to hear from you.
The team is based across 14 Children’s Centres, providing essential frontline business support to Family Help Teams, partner organisations and service users. As the first point of contact for each centre, they play a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of services and a positive customer experience.
The roles are office based. The preferred working pattern for these roles will be discussed with successful candidates; however please state which location you are interested in on your application. (Buxton - 37 hours, Shirebrook, Swadlincote & Heanor - 18.5 hours).
Although each post has a designated base location, we are looking for candidates who can work flexibly and are willing to support colleagues at other local sites when required.
Due to this post having administrative privileges within the Councils IT systems, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
