Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland is inviting applications for an administrative role based at Crieff Community Hospital, with flexible base options including Auchterarder for the right candidate.

You will deliver a modern administrative service across Crieff and St Margaret's Community Hospitals, working in a multidisciplinary setting, and using Microsoft Teams and other digital collaboration tools. Pro rata salary applies for part-time hours.

An opportunity has arisen for an individual to deliver a modern and comprehensive administrative service within the South Perthshire and Kinross Locality.

You will be organised, detail-orientated and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A key part of this role requires the post holder to be proactive and confident in seeking out information independently. You will need to demonstrate strong investigative and problem-solving skills and be able to use own initiative to source accurate information.

The post will be based at Crieff Community Hospital, however Auchterarder may be considered as a base for the right candidate. You will provide a wide range of administrative support as part of the administrative team across Crieff Community Hospital and St Margaret's Community Hospital. There may also be a requirement to provide cover at other locations across the locality or within the Partnership, as required.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organisational and IT skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the confidence to use initiative and sound judgement when resolving day-to-day issues and confidence in using Microsoft Teams and other digital collaboration tools. You will be comfortable working with digital systems, emerging technologies including AI.

You will work closely with members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), liaising effectively to support service delivery and patient care. You will be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within the wider team.

You will be comfortable working in an evolving and changing environment capable of prioritising and managing your own workload, adapting to competing demands, and working to tight timescales.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

Hours of work are: 13 hours per week, working days and times can be negotiable for the right candidate. Our service core working hours are Monday to Friday between 8 am and 5pm. Please note that the salary scale for this post is pro rata for part time hours.
