Job summary

NHS Tayside is seeking a Ward Assistant to support the Endoscopy Unit at Ninewells Hospital. You will help with ward organisation, administrative tasks and housekeeping while contributing to a constantly changing environment.

The role requires good IT skills, excellent communication and the ability to collect data and liaise with procurement. Hours are currently 21.5 per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and good IT abilities.
• Data collection and time management skills are important.
• Familiarity with NHS systems (Trakcare, PECOS, SSTS) is beneficial.

An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the endoscopy team within NHS Tayside. The ward assistant role is pivotal in ward organisation & administrative duties. You will be expected to support the team by carrying out general clinical, administrative and housekeeping duties within a constantly changing environment.

We are looking for someone who is organised with excellent communication skills and good IT skills. Within this role there is data collection & close working with the procurement department. Familiarity with NHS systems such as Trakcare, PECOS and SSTS would be beneficial. Good time management & Excellent telephone manner.

The post holder will be based in the Endoscopy Unit, Ninewells Hospital.

Hours of work are currently Monday to Friday but this can be subject to review and the ability to be flexible is essential.
