Job summary

The City of Liverpool College is seeking a lecturer to teach Business qualifications including level 3 and T Level within the School of Business and Professional Services in Liverpool.

The role is full time, permanent, 35 hours per week, with a salary of £34,789 - £43,139 per year. You will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment, and strengthen links with employers and higher education partners.

Qualifications

• Educated to Level 6 or equivalent in a related degree.
• A recognised Teaching qualification.
• Recent teaching experience with 16–18-year-olds.
• Professional qualification relevant to the subject.
• Excellent computing literacy – use of College IT programs.
• Proven curriculum planning, development & delivery.
• Knowledge of Business provision.
• Engaged in Continuing Professional Development.
• Level 2 literacy and numeracy or willingness to complete.
• High level of communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the College's mission and values in all aspects of College life.
• Contribute to College and curriculum area objectives and engage in annual review.
• Keep abreast of national developments and update knowledge annually.
• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons to manage learning.
• Use a range of teaching techniques to engage and motivate students.
• Create a safe, motivating learning environment for students.
• Maintain procedures promoting appropriate behavior and inclusivity.
• Set and mark work in line with policies.
• Track students' progress and attendance.
• Provide diverse teaching styles and learning experiences.
• Understand assessment procedures and support their implementation.
• Collaborate with Head of School on programme design and standards.
• Liaise with curriculum teams to support teaching and assessment.
• Review professional development needs and participate in training.
• Communicate with parents and carers, including events.
• Ensure students comply with policies.
• Provide enrichment opportunities.
