The City of Liverpool College is seeking tutors to deliver Level 1–3 teaching in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism within the Visitor Economy, Leisure & Service Industries department. This ad hoc hours post focuses on practical, industry-aligned lessons, using current practices and employer links, with a strong emphasis on pastoral support through tutorials.

Qualifications

• Excellent computer literacy, including the College's IT programs.
• High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
• Setting high standards for students, colleagues and self.
• Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy, or willingness to complete it.

Responsabilités

• Deliver teaching and learning from Level 1 to Level 3 in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism, bringing current industry and practitioner skills.
• Plan, prepare and deliver high quality lessons using a range of techniques that engage students and build independence.
• Take responsibility for personal and group tutorials that support progression or employment.
• Set and mark work under College and School assessment policies, recording the work and its assessment.
• Track students' progress and attendance under College systems.
• Create a safe, purposeful learning environment and set standards of behaviour and respect, challenging discrimination.
• Make external links to create opportunities for students.
• Provide a balance of teaching styles and learning experiences.
• Keep knowledge and skills in the subject area up to date, reviewing national developments annually.
• Contribute to the College mission and values and to curriculum area strategic objectives, including the annual review.
• Take an appropriate part in internal and external assessment procedures.
