Job summary

City St George's, University of London is seeking a finance professional to deliver financial performance in partnership with the School in line with the University Financial Plan. You will influence decision-making, drive change and foster collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement.

The role focuses on budget management, forecasting, year-end delivery, and training budget holders, with robust controls, value for money and governance as core pillars.

Qualifications

• Degree educated (or equivalent) with significant accounting expertise.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Qualified accountant status and post-qualification experience desirable.

Person SpecificationDegree educated (or equivalent experience) with significant accounting expertise and strong financial management skills. You will be customer-focused, highly organised and, able to manage competing priorities to tight deadlines, working independently with sound judgement. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills are essential, alongside the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and solve complex problems. A commitment to continuous improvement, accountability, governance, compliance and value for money is key. Qualified accountant status and post-qualification experience are desirable.
