Job description

What you’ll do

Role purpose:

• Provide operational run of sub-team on daily basis, including managing external resources, budget, skills.
• Oversee solution architecture function within the department, standardizing ways of working, identifying opportunities, and driving organizational change to support business needs.
• Provide architectural guidance to business & delivery teams, ensuring compliance with solution architectural design in project implementations, and managing existing design authority.
• Define and maintain the process to provide a living model of Vodafone's current and future Application Architecture for the Business Operations domain, covering Corporate Systems and Analytics. Provide the architectural blueprint supporting Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Legal & External Affairs processes.
• Contribute to Business Case definition and support RFP evaluation to ensure quality inputs aligned with future state target architecture.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Drive innovation within the team, identifying innovative solutions for Vodafone Business Functions, supporting change to foster innovation initiatives.
• Ensure managed people (internal and external) operational run, skills, capacity, and budget are maintained.
• Analyze and translate business, information, and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that integrates solutions across applications, systems, and platforms to achieve business objectives.
• Contribute to maintaining the integrity of all Corporate Systems and Analytics platforms.
• Safeguard the overall solution ecosystem and ensure adherence to architectural standards and principles.
• Support the Lead in enabling and sustaining a unified Architecture layer across the Business Operations domain and its integration with the wider architecture community.

Who you are

Core competencies & knowledge:

• Extensive knowledge and experience in defining solution architecture standards and guidelines for all Corporate Systems (ERP, HR, SCM, RPA, etc.) domains and applications (e.g., Global SAP deployments).
• Experience with innovative technology and working in environments where ways of working need to be defined.
• Strategic business acumen with understanding of Vodafone's strategy and the ability to design information systems to support that strategy within the Business Operations domain.
• Experience in assessing a broad range of information solutions and products.
• Experience working in multi-project and multi-program environments.
• Quick, relentless, and versatile learner, open to change, able to anticipate future trends and articulate possibilities and outcomes.

Technical experience:

• In-depth knowledge of a broad spectrum of corporate systems applications operated at a global scale.
• Experience creating new product opportunities from inception to launch.
• Practical experience managing operational budgets.
