Job description

About the Role:

Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining an Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance Framework across the Association. Lead Data Governance best practices for IT and multiple Lines of Business (LoBs), and facilitate the Data Owner and Steward community.

You Will:
  • Develop, implement, enforce, and improve the Data Governance strategy, framework, procedures, and standards.
  • Monitor and enforce goals and KRIs related to Data management.
  • Define measures and metrics to track system user activity, compliance, and value.
  • Establish best practices for data, including an Association-wide Taxonomy & Data Dictionary.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand data requirements and promote data management awareness.
  • Identify control points in the data lifecycle to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Deliver data awareness training to foster a data-driven culture.
  • Partner with the Data Architecture team to improve data efficiency.
  • Work with data domain owners and stewards to establish and monitor data quality metrics.
  • Assist in establishing and implementing Data Access frameworks.
  • Work across organizational boundaries to build support, address issues, and manage risks transparently.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners to establish trust and credibility.
  • Provide expertise on new data-related programs.
You Have:
  • A postgraduate qualification or experience in information management or data governance within complex business processes.
  • Understanding of information lifecycle management, data modeling, and Master Data Management.
  • Experience implementing Data Governance programs, preferably in a global context.
  • Knowledge of agile project management methodology.
  • Ability to elicit and define system user requirements.
  • Experience with Data Integration technologies such as PowerBI, Atlan, etc.
  • Experience leading data transformation projects across regions or products.
