What you'll do

Role purpose:

• Provide operational management of the sub-team daily, including managing external resources, budget, and skills.
• Oversee the solution architecture function within the department, standardizing workflows, identifying opportunities, and driving organizational change to support business needs.
• Provide architectural guidance to business & delivery teams to ensure compliance with solution architectural design during project implementation, managing and improving the existing design authority.
• Define and maintain the process to provide a living model of Vodafone's current and future Application Architecture for the Business Operations domain, covering Corporate Systems and Analytics. Provide the architectural blueprint supporting Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Legal & External Affairs processes.
• Contribute to Business Case development and support RFP evaluations to ensure quality inputs aligned with the future state target architecture.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Drive innovation within the team, identifying innovative solutions to support Vodafone Business Functions, and managing change initiatives.
• Manage internal and external teams' operational run, skills, capacity, and budget.
• Analyze and translate business, information, and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that integrates solutions across applications, systems, and platforms to meet business objectives.
• Ensure the integrity of all Corporate Systems and Analytics platforms.
• Safeguard the overall solution ecosystem and ensure adherence to architectural standards and principles.
• Support the Lead in enabling and maintaining a unified Architecture layer across the Business Operations domain and wider architecture community.

Who you are

Core competencies & knowledge:

• Extensive experience in defining solution architecture standards for Corporate Systems (ERP, HR, SCM, RPA) domains and applications (e.g., Global SAP deployments).
• Experience with innovative technologies and environments requiring new ways of working.
• Strategic business acumen with an understanding of Vodafone's strategy and designing information systems to support it within Business Operations.
• Experience in assessing a broad range of information solutions and products.
• Experience working in multi-project and multi-program environments.
• A quick, versatile learner, open to change, able to anticipate future trends and articulate possibilities.

Technical experience:

• In-depth knowledge of a broad spectrum of corporate systems applications operated globally.
• Experience in developing new product opportunities from inception to launch.
• Practical experience managing operational budgets.
