We are looking for a full-time Business Officer to join our Adults Business Support Service and work within our Prevention & Early Intervention team.
Business Officers help our teams deliver a responsive service to people across Cambridgeshire. You will be part of a supportive and friendly team, handling enquiries, keeping records accurate and up to date, and providing the high-quality day-to-day administrative support that helps colleagues work effectively. Your day will be varied and fast paced, and this role require resilience, flexibility, proactivity in problem solving, and positive engagement with colleagues, partners, and service providers alike.
As Business Officer you will have the opportunity to make a real impact, with key duties that include:
You will be organised, approachable and able to manage competing tasks in a busy service. You will communicate clearly, accurately and sensitively, pay close attention to detail, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
You will be confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel, and willing to learn new systems. Experience of GDPR and handling confidential information and providing administrative or customer service support would be valuable.
We support flexible and hybrid working. Once you have completed your initial training, there may be opportunities to work from home, alongside working from a Council office. Your office base will be confirmed on appointment and may be in Cambridge, March or Huntingdon. You may also need to attend other Council offices across the County to support colleagues.
We offer training and support to help you settle into the role and continue developing your skills.
