The Business Manager will lead a team of Employer Relationship Managers in the provision of services to source and fill vacancies and manage key employer accounts.
You will be responsible for managing the performance, productivity, and wellbeing of the team and supporting the team through observation, coaching, and development to exceed their targets; resolving escalated complaints; ensuring the maintenance of key relationships with partners and timely reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs). You will be responsible for the team's strict adherence to quality targets and guidelines in accordance with the programme obligations and PeoplePlus process.
This is a full-time permanent position, based remotely with expected travel around England when required. We welcome applications from candidates seeking flexible working hours or the opportunity to work a 4-day week with condensed hours. All flexible working options will be discussed further at interview.
What we are looking for:
We seek a dynamic and forward-thinking individual with a proven track record in coaching and leading a sales or recruitment team, ideally from a welfare-to-work background, but management of any sales team will be considered. You should have experience monitoring and analyzing KPIs/MI on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, accurately forecasting KPIs, and developing and monitoring continuous improvement plans.
You must demonstrate high ethical standards, personal accountability, and a desire to excel. A history of working towards and achieving targets, along with experience in people management—including supporting, mentoring, and developing team members—is essential. Excellent people management, communication, and customer service skills are required, with the ability to analyze individual and team performance, identify remedial actions, and work collaboratively to implement improvements. A good understanding of the support needed to help people into sustainable employment, along with a flexible and innovative approach to work, is also necessary.
