Job summary

Computacenter is inviting undergraduates in their penultimate year to join a 13‑month Business Management Placement Programme. You will work with customer teams to keep critical services running for large organisations, developing relationships and delivering value across multiple locations in the UK.

You’ll gain exposure to a global corporate environment, attend meetings, and work toward a recognised qualification, with potential for future graduate opportunities within Computacenter.

  • Penultimate year undergraduate student in any degree discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Establish long-lasting relationships with the customer, internal teams, and partners by helping to respond to enquiries.
  • Understand customers’ business objectives and help to add value to services.
  • Develop your presentation and communication skills by creating and presenting customer-facing documentation.
  • Attend customer and internal meetings, track key actions and ensure services meet contractual obligations.
  • Gain exposure to a global corporate environment with colleagues across Europe, USA and Asia-Pacific.
  • Analyse key performance metrics and provide insight to improve or grow services.
  • Develop knowledge of technical services and best practices and work toward an industry-recognised qualification.

Service Managers are the face of our services business and are often seen as an extended part of the customer team, through their proximity and solid understanding of the customer's business and its people.

What you’ll do

During our 13-month programme, you will join one of our customer account teams helping to keep critical services running for some of the world’s largest organisations.

  • Establish long-lasting relationships with the customer, internal teams, and partners by helping to respond to any enquiries and requests
  • Gain an understanding of your customers business objectives and goals and help to add value to new and existing services
  • Develop your presentation and communication skills by helping to create and present customer-facing documentation
  • Attend customer and internal meetings, keeping track of key actions and ensure our services are delivered in line with contractual obligations and strategic goals
  • Gain exposure to a global corporate environment with an opportunity to work with colleagues across the world (e.g. Europe, USA, Asia-Pacific)
  • Analyse key performance metrics and trends and provide valuable insight to improve or grow services
  • Develop your knowledge of technical services and best practice, and work towards an industry-recognised qualification to aid your future career development.

At the end of the 13 months, you will return to university to complete your degree with the potential to consider applying to rejoin Computacenter on one of our graduate programmes.

What you’ll need
  • You’ll be studying at undergraduate level in your second year of university, in any degree discipline and be in your penultimate year of study
  • You’ll have a keen interest in technology and striving to achieve outstanding levels of service to customers
  • You’ll be personable with the ability to communicate and build relationships
  • You’ll be adaptable to situations and be proactive in problem-solving and decision-making
  • You’ll be hardworking and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • You’ll bring theoretical learnings from your studies and put them into practice with Computacenter’s Service Management team
  • You are free from July2027 to start in role!
