Job summary

ACT Training in Cardiff is seeking a Business Insights Analyst to join the Strategy & Planning team. The role focuses on turning data into decision-ready insights to improve planning, performance and outcomes.

You will develop dashboards, apply analytical techniques, and collaborate with both technical and non-technical colleagues to answer organisational questions and drive continuous improvement. Welsh-language ability is desirable.

We are looking for a Business Insights Analyst to join our Strategy & Planning team and help us make better use of data, evidence and insight across the organisation.

About the Role

The Business Insights Analyst will lead the development and delivery of ACT’s business insight and performance intelligence, turning complex organisational data into meaningful, decision-ready insight that supports planning, decision-making and continuous improvement.

This is a role for someone who is naturally curious and analytical, enjoys exploring data beyond routine reporting, and can identify trends, relationships, emerging issues and opportunities. You will work with both technical and non-technical colleagues to understand organisational questions, develop appropriate analytical approaches and turn complex findings into clear, accessible and engaging insight.

You will use tools such as Power BI, data visualisation and, where appropriate, AI-enabled analytical techniques to bring data to life through reporting, storytelling and visualisation.

Your Impact

You will:
