Job summary

Northumberland County Council is seeking a proactive Business and Employment Advisor to join the Business Northumberland team. You will engage with employers and residents to meet recruitment and workforce development needs, delivering a local talent pipeline for the QTS Data Centre project and facilitating pathways into employment, apprenticeships and training.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with employers across the supply chain to identify recruitment, workforce and skills needs.
• Secure vacancies and develop practical solutions to workforce challenges.
• Create pathways into employment, apprenticeships, training and career progression for residents.
• Collaborate with partners across the public, private, voluntary and community sectors to promote support programmes.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor performance to ensure delivery of programme objectives.
• Blend office, outreach and home-working activities with regular site work at QTS Data Centre and community locations across Northumberland; travel across the county is required.
