Job summary

Northumberland County Council is recruiting a Senior Talent & Capability Adviser to shape how we build workforce capability and lead change across services. You will translate organisational priorities into practical interventions that strengthen talent pipelines and support managers to develop their teams.

This role requires experience in talent and capability development, succession planning and change readiness, with the ability to create useful tools and guidance for colleagues.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in talent development and succession planning.
• Specialist knowledge of talent, career development or workforce capability approaches.
• Experience of organisational capability and skills development.
• Proven ability to support change readiness, adoption and reinforcement.

Responsibilities

• Translate organisational priorities into practical interventions that build capability and strengthen talent pipelines.
• Design and deliver talent, succession and capability interventions to support organisational change.
• Provide manager support and practical tools to embed development opportunities in everyday work.
