Description

The purpose of this role is to deliver market-leading campaigns and projects at Havas Play, requiring exceptional client and team management, and strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external groups.

You will provide counsel to senior clients, manage overall client performance, and be accountable for financial growth. The role aims to build a strong team of thinkers and doers, contributing to the agency's vision and growth, and working collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

Senior Leadership

  • Deliver strategic and creative programmes for client brands, offering trusted guidance.
  • Plan, create, and execute programmes across client portfolios.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the sports and culture industry, including trends and industry bodies.
  • Develop expertise in cultural territories relevant to clients, such as sports, music, gaming, and film, to facilitate relevant collaborations.
  • Collaborate with Strategy & Insights and Creative teams to produce outstanding work.
  • Work with Activation teams to ensure an integrated approach and team cohesion.
  • Provide senior counsel to clients and internally, understanding challenges and delivering solutions.
  • Leverage a network of contacts to enhance client work and agency offerings.
  • Establish yourself as an industry leader externally.

Client Management

  • Develop and implement account management principles to ensure high-quality work that grows client business.
  • Foster an entrepreneurial spirit within the team, understanding client businesses, and developing new opportunities.
  • Act as the senior day-to-day contact for clients, building strategic partnerships.
  • Manage resources, contracts, budgets, and financial processes transparently.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and share knowledge across teams.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign effectiveness in collaboration with Strategy & Insights.

New Business

  • Lead, deliver, and win pitches, collaborating with Strategy & Creative teams.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and new revenue streams.
  • Promote cross-selling of capabilities and maintain prospecting activities.
  • Create thought leadership content and industry contributions.
  • Utilize proprietary tools like Meaningful Brands in Culture to attract clients.
  • Prepare RFI/RFP responses and pitch documents.
  • Drive cross-agency collaboration for new business opportunities.

Business

  • Contribute to the agency's vision and business plans as part of senior management.
  • Manage client growth plans and financial targets.
  • Participate in reporting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure profitable management of client accounts and resource allocation.

People/Leadership

  • Exemplify exceptional leadership, mentorship, and decision-making skills.
  • Lead talent management, recruitment, and communication within your team.
  • Inspire and motivate team members, ensuring professional development.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing and resource levels per client needs.
  • Communicate effectively within and outside the team.
  • Develop talent and training plans for team growth.
  • Promote the use of best practices and tools.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals.
  • Be approachable and visible to all team members.

People Management

  • Manage direct reports effectively.

Financial/Time Management

  • Oversee growth and profitability of your accounts and budgets.
