Business Development Representative United Kingdom (Hybrid) Job Description

Telent is looking for a new addition to the Sales & Marketing team as part of the Network Services division. We are seeking a driven, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking Business Development Representative to join our team and help build and develop relationships within the Emergency Services, Public Sector, Government, Utilities, and Nuclear sectors. This role will involve working through a Telent training plan and collaborating with the team at our Warwick and Camberley offices at least one day per week, alternating weekly.

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll play a multi-faceted role that is vital to Telent’s go-to-market strategy. As you learn and grow in the BDR role, we’ll help you map out a career path to grow your career at Telent for years to come.

BDR - What you’ll do:

  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of Telent, our offerings, and the markets we operate in, to educate prospects.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to support the sales pipeline and growth by actively researching target accounts and key stakeholders within these customer structures.
  • Create and coordinate campaigns for prospect accounts based on research of your allocated territory.
  • Perform targeted prospect outreach via phone calls, emails, social media, and your own creative efforts, generating interest in Telent’s offerings and selling the benefits of our services.
  • Follow up with engaged/warm inbound leads from the marketing team and turn them into meetings and new business opportunities.
  • Analyze and report on your weekly activities and pipeline generation efforts.

BDR - Who you are:

We are looking for candidates who are resilient, driven, self-motivated, and adopt a practical approach. You should have relevant experience in a sales environment, particularly in outbound sales, and the ability to generate and identify new business leads. You will be using various business tools to generate data and target customers. Experience from other industries is welcomed. A university degree or equivalent is preferred, with some experience working in an office setup.
