As a Business Development Manager, you thrive on winning new business, have a passion for sales and are hungry to win in the market.

To succeed in this role, you will be a confident and highly credible individual with experience of New Business acquisition of large multi-million-pound end user customers. This will likely have been gained in a Business Development Manager or similar role focused on Business Growth. You will have the motivation and hunger to win new accounts for Kimberly-Clark, using your extensive experience of generating new business into key sectors such as FM, Healthcare and Government.

This role is remote based so you can be based anywhere in the UK and happy to travel.

Key Role Accountabilities:

  1. Leverages Business Intelligence/ Market Insights to develop pipeline to target and engage customers to drive market penetration.
  2. Specialist in our KCP Washroom Category with focus on FM and Cleaning.
  3. Partners with Sales Development Representative (SDR) to turn qualified leads into revenue generating new business.
  4. Develops and manages new business quickly for hand off to Regional Team or Key Account Team to nurture and expand the business.
  5. Collaborates with Channel Team and Channel partners to initiate/build relationship with the prospective end customers.
  6. Brings insights from customer meetings to inform the customer journey, product/ innovation roadmap and marketing programs.
  7. Embraces digital technology (video, social media, eCommerce) to identify leads and business opportunities.

Business Objectives and Performance Measures:

  1. Individual New Closed Business financial targets: gross profit, account profitability, growth, new business by category.
  2. # Net New end users.
  3. Digital metrics: e.g., sending videos to customers, posting on LinkedIn/ online forums, hosting video meetings.

Skills and Experience

  1. Strong experience in End User facing Selling (hunting) of Large End-Users.
  2. Functional Skills: In depth digital Selling, pricing strategy, expert in pipeline management.
  3. Competencies: Expert in Negotiation, reasonable customer planning & strategy, business acumen.
  4. Mindsets: Demonstrates agility adapting to new situations quickly, relationship oriented, resiliency, proactivity. Active learning and active listening.
